    3. William Morrow may have come from Dublin, Ireland as a prize-fighter to America. He was on the 1850 Polk Co., MO census, farmer, 61, born NC. With him is his wife Ruth, 56, born NC, son Francis M. Morrow 13 born NC and grandson Benjamin F. Kirkpatrick 5 born MO. Apparently William Morrow died in Polk Co. but no death record has been found. There is a probate wherein Robert Smith received $8.00 or his coffin. A paper in the probate signed by William Morrow on Apr 29, 1852 shows that William could sign his name. William R. Devin was administrator of his estate which was filed in 1867. A Mr. Ezekiel Flint is mentioned in the probate several times and he was a neighbor and may have been related. MORROW 10-Ruth Eleanor MORROW 11-Francis Marion Morow Ruth appears in the 1850 census of Polk Co., MO, 56, born NC. She was named in the probate of her husband. Ruth and several of her children including Robert, Ruth and F. M. Morrow sign to renounce their right to administer the estate of William Feb 5, 1859. She is shown in the 1860 MO census 66 but it says she was born TN. She has not been found on an 1870 census. Ruth apparently went to TX with some of her children after William died as she was found living in the Taylor Morrow household in 1880 Tarrant Co., TX, her grandson. He was 32 a farmer born MO, father born NC and mother born VA. His wife is Lemember(?) 28 and Rutha Morrow, grandmother, is 88 born NC, parents born NC. Morrow, 35, born NC was found on the 1850 Platte Co., MO census, farmer. His wife and children Catherine, Mary, and William are with him. An A. J. Morrow and Moses Carr appear as securities for estates dated Aug 1850 and Mar 1851 in Platte Co., MO. He was living in Platte Co. at the time of his father's probate. His full name may be Andrew Jackson Morrow. His estate in Platte Co. totalled $2760. and administrator was J.H.Nash. A. J. Morrow was found on the 1860 Platte Co., MO Mortality Schedule in Pettis Twp. He was born NC and died at age 43 in Jan of Typhoid Fever. His full name was Andrew J. Morrow. There is an A. J. Morrow, 17, born 1833, living in his own household in the 1850 Platte Co., MO census, relationship unknown but possibly a son. An Andrew Morrow was on the 1880 Tarrant Co., TX index is probably related. Other family members are buried in the same cemetery. Unidentified is Lewis Jackson Morrow born 1873 died 1921. His wife Diantha, 24 was born VA. Children: Therusia A. 4, Joseph T. or L. 3, and Louisa J. 1 all born MO. In the household was Marion (male) 16, born NC listed last, relationship unknown but possibly a brother. His brother Andrew Morrow was also found in Pettis Twp. a few pages from Joseph. In his father's probate in 1852, son Joseph Taylor Morrow was living in McDonald Co., MO. Joseph was found in the 1860 McDonald Co., MO census 40 born KY instead of NC. His wife is shown as Barbara, 29, born TN, probably a second wife. The children shown were Thursey A. 14, Joseph 12, Lewis 10, John 8, Awilda 5 all born MO and William A. Givens 5 born TN, probably a stepson. No record of marriage was found in Polk or McDonald Co. for Joseph Morrow to Barbara Givens. ------------------------------------------------------- Robert A. Wife Elizabeth was 31 born VA. Two children Barbara A. 5 born MO and William R. 9 months born MO are shown. There may have been other children born after 1850. KIRKPATRICK 2-Benjamin F. KIRKPATRICK Elizabeth Morrow's son Benjamin is living in her father's household in the 1850 Polk Co., MO census and sons Benjamin and George are in his household in 1860. Morrow age 22 born NC is found on the 1850 Platte Co., MO census living in the Doctor Ellis household, his future father-in-law. Susannah, his future wife is 15. He was also found 31 born NC on the 1860 Platte Co., MO census. His wife is Susanah aged 29 born NC. Children: Newton 7, Marion 4 (male) and Malvina l, all born MO. Estate papers of Sam C. Morrow shows his heirs to be William N. Morrow (administrator), Francis or Frank M. Morrow, Rutha J. Morrow, W. I.? Johnson, Doctor Morrow and Perry Morrow, Aug 1875, estate appraised $670.25. Paxton's Annals and Platte Co., MO marriage records, William Newton Morrow, son of Samuel, married Sarah Jane Babcock Sep 3, 1874 and they moved to Colorado. S. C. Morrow is buried in Ellis Cemetery in Waldron Township, Platte Co. In the 1860 Polk Co., MO Johnson Twp. census he is shown 24 born NC. With him is his wife Mariah age 19 born MO and his children Rutha 1 and Rebecca Morrow 6 mo. Frances died without a will. William Devin was administrator of his estate Oct 31, 1860 Polk Co., MO. G. W. Kirkpatrick, probably his nephew, received $2.50. There is a Marion Morrow on the 1850 Platte Co. MO census with Joseph Taylor Morrow and wife Diantha, 16 born NC. It is probably Frances Marion Morrow. Are you related to my Morrow and Carr/Karr?
