I have a copy of the Blue Book. I received mine through my aunt years ago. The author of book has since passed and I don't know if it is still in print. The Morrows and Related Families was published for the author by Gateway Press, Inc. Baltimore, Md. 21202. I hope this will help. Chapter 5 page 42 It starts with George Morrow (1742-1790) He was born either in the Maryland/Pennsylvania disputed area where several of the Morrow families had settled.Geoge married twice. 1st to Mary or Jain Calhoun and 2nd to Mary Mecklin. The birthdates of the children are not known but George named them in the following order Hugh Morrow, John Morrow, Jane Morrow, Margaret Morrow, Mary Ann Morrow, James Morrow and George Mecklin Morrow. Page 44. Geoge Morrow 11 is the only person for whom the present researchers have found proof of being a son of Hugh Morrow who fought in the American Revolution. This George was in Jeffersob County, Alabama at time of the 1830 and 1840 census. On the record of the Minutes of the Orphans Court, 1832-1837 on page 337 of Jefferson County, Alabama George was made the sole guardian of five minor children of his and his first wife Sarah(now deceased) There is a marriage record of George and Sarah Thompson in Christian County, Ky April 12, 1819. George married on Jan. 21, 1836 a widow by the name of Eleanor Nickson (Nixon) Her first husband was Henry Nickson by whom she had a son. Sanders H. Nickson. By August 1843 George and Eleanor were living in Pontotoc County, Ms. The 1850 census of Pontotoc County, Ms. shows that George was born in 1795 in SC and Eleanor was born in 1794 in NC. At that time the the three older children by his first wife Sarah were not at home but the seven younger children were listed: John Chapman Morrow 19 Born Alabama Ewing Guthrie Morrow 16 Born Alabama Mary Morrow 13 Born Alabama Sarah Morrow 12 Born Alabama Harriet Morrow 9 Born Alabama Julia Morrow 6 Born Alabama Matilda Morrow 5 Born in Alabama The book does not mention Ewing's wife or family. This all the information the Blue Book has for this family. I really hope you will attend the Morrow Reunion next year. It is always the first Sunday in August. I hope this helps. sue
