    1. Re: What information do you have on James David Morrow?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Hand Morrow Burleson Weaver Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JN2.2ACIB/1552.2.1 Message Board Post: Lots of information up to 1880 but nothing after that except for the three children he is said to have fathered, probably by another wife. A Hand cousin has told me that when James was sent to jail, Sarah left him and married someone else. When Dock (JD) got out of jail he took the kids and went to Arkansas but returned to Red Bay to die in 1924. Can't find him in any census 1900-1920, or any of the children that might have been with him. Philip Weaver, [email protected], "Burleson/Morrow Connection," 10/5/2003, email copy. My Grandma, Minnie Lea Morrow Weaver never would talk about her family much. My Daddy used to tell me that his mother was abandoned as a child along with her younger brother and sister. He said that Grandma's Daddy ran off and her Mother who was Cherokee also left them and went back to the reservation. I was always told that Grandma met my Granddaddy, Doc Martin Weaver, in Franklin County, Alabama near Red Bay. His Daddy Martin Weaver was not only a blacksmith but also a circuit riding Baptist preacher and was down in Franklin County preaching a revival when Grandma and Granddaddy met. The only other thing I was told was that her maiden name was Morrow. A few things I have always known is that Grandma's brother and sister were Oscar Morrow and Hannah Morrow. My Daddy now says that Oscar and Grandma (Minnie) were twins. Hannah was not a younger sister but older, she was born 1/18/1889 and died 8/1973. I know that Grandma died in May of 1972 and Oscar had died years earlier. I have never been able to find Minnie, Oscar and Hannah in a Census together. The first time that I find Grandma is in Cross County, Arkansas in 1930. By this time she had all 9 of her children. Her and Doc Weaver married at a very young age. 8.
