    1. Re: [MORROW] Elizabeth McLain and William Morrow
    2. Steve and Edith- Inerestingly emough, I also found- right underneath the marriage record of Elizabeth Morrow (Marrone) to Lewis Russell (Russel) on Aug 31, 1840 in Perry Co. another marriage record, this one with the name Alexander McClain who married Mary (Polly) Hay or Hoy on Sept. Sep 2, 1840. Shirley, I have as yet heard nothing from you. Does this prove of any value? -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Steve Morrow" <jmorrow11@charter.net> Edith, Thank you so much for this. I’ll certainly check it out. Maybe this is the break I’ve been waiting for in tracing William and Elizabeth. I’ll let you know what I think shortly. June 5, 1778 is the wife of William Morrow b. abt 1765 in Ohio. She lists 10 children for Jacob McClain (b Sept. 10, 1750 and died bef 1 May 1835 in Muskingum Co., Ohio). His third child is an Elizabeth McLain but she gives no information about her. This Jacob had a wife, Elizabeth Wilson b. July 18, 1754 and was 14 when she married Jacob who was 18 in Penn,,,Elizabeth died after May 1, 1835 in Muskingun Co., Ohio... This William Morrow had a son named Wilson who was born 1811 Muskingum, Ohio, and I am descended from him. I am interested in any information on this family. Cindi lists children of Jacob McLain and Elizabeth Wilson as John, Mary, Susannah, Elizabeth, Allen, Daniel, Esther, Priscilla, Rebecca and Sarah...and with many of them born in Bedford Co., Penn..my email is rana@midplains.coop
