I have an idea they were Capt Samuel Morrow and Elizabeth Carmichael. They were married 1766 in the Cane Breaks area of Abbeville. Capt Sam was killed by a neighbor Tory c1788 (just typing early in am from memory). Eliz appears in 1790 census as Elzbt ? Morrow living next to Carmichael widow in SC census, can't remember the county/ district, probably Abbeville. Capt Sam Morrow was a different person from "Old Samuel Morrow" who died 1796 in Spartanburg District SC. Over the years things got garbled.
