For some reason I have James born in Scotland. I also thought his birth was S.C. on the 1860 census. Emeline's death certificate shows him born in W.V. That info was given by her son. I could not read the last two names or the name above Daniel, age 1. I too assumed the 70 year old lady was his mother-in-law. More searching!! These elusive ancestors!
