Your James Morrow is included within our Morrow Group VI, as seen on this website: http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=morrowdna&id=I529 As you can see, Joseph Maxwell Morrow is shown with your James. The father and/or common ancestor of this group is unknown at this time. My recommendation is to join our group, have your yDNA tested, and that will prove or disprove your current research. Most likely it will prove it. If you are unfamiliar with DNA testing, here's a previous posting of mine "Top Ten Reasons To Join the Morrow DNA Testing Project" http://genforum.genealogy.com/morrow/messages/3927.html Here's our website, go there and learn more about our group: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~amorrow/morrowdna.htm If you wish to join, below is our "Join page" link. I recommend the yDNA 25 marker test as a minimum, it proves kinship. There's a pull down tab at the bottom of the join page which shows the various tests, the 25 marker is the 2nd listed. The cost is $148 USA plus $2 to mail the DNA kit to your address. Instructions are included, it's a cheek swab, simple & painless. Tests take 6-8 weeks. http://www.familytreedna.com/surname_join.asp?code=R92350 By joining, if your yDNA matches Group VI, at least you'll know your current research is correct and you'll be able to correspond with and work with those donors you match in your future research... "Two or more heads are better than one". Any questions, let me know. Bill Morrow Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
