Author: wmorrowmft Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.morrow/54.209.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My William Sherman Morrow was born approx 1870 in Tidioute, Warren County Pennsylvania.Son of RWM and Isabelle Chambers. But since his grandfather (Morrow) and grandmother are unknown, the middle name Sherman is intriguing. Although people must have named kids then based on (unrelated) General Sherman, it is possible that Sherman was a family name, and comes from RWM's mother. WSM was killed accidently at work in May of 1913. He is buried in the Tidioute cemetery. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Steve and Edith- Inerestingly emough, I also found- right underneath the marriage record of Elizabeth Morrow (Marrone) to Lewis Russell (Russel) on Aug 31, 1840 in Perry Co. another marriage record, this one with the name Alexander McClain who married Mary (Polly) Hay or Hoy on Sept. Sep 2, 1840. Shirley, I have as yet heard nothing from you. Does this prove of any value? -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Steve Morrow" <jmorrow11@charter.net> Edith, Thank you so much for this. I’ll certainly check it out.
