I've found a number of libraries around the country that have it, but since it is a genealogy book, I haven't found any willing to send it via inter-library loan. So if any knows of a particular library willing to send it via inter-library loan, that would be great as well. Many thanks in advance! He was married to a "Martha McNeilly" and they had a son (my gg grandfather) named Joseph. I believe that Andrew was the son of William Gibson and Isabella Gibson. Mattie is often a nickname for Martha, and it is not unlikely they are the same person. Have you obtained any more information on Mattie McNeilly's ancestors? Any family trees or anything published elsewhere would be most appreciated, as well. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. If a male Morrow descendant of your line wishes to join the Morrow DNA Testing Project, let me know. The cost for the 25 marker yDNA test is currently $124 plus $2 mailing the DNA kit to his address. Sample needed is a cheek swab, like brushing your teeth, simple and painless. The advantages to yDNA testing is finding a match with another MOrrow donor(s). They may have more generations in their Morrow research. Plus a match with another Morrow proves your paper lineage is biologically correct. Author: BonnieDaySIA Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.morrow/2067.2.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi Bill; I've uncovered so much information since we last spoke I just had to write and let you know. As I reported in my last message I was introduced to a direct Morrow relative through the Sherbondy website; and I've also located other Morrow relatives and researchers; we've been comparing notes and information ever since. Turns out the father of my gg-grandfather Abraham (b:1842), was Abraham (b:1809) who was married to Catherine and had the large family. I now have a copy of the younger Abraham's obituray and it clearly lists Abraham Morrow and Mary Smith as his parents. Abraham Sr.(b:1809) originally married a lady named Hetty around 1832, and had two children with him: David (b:1832) and Mary (b:1835). Hetty died shortly thereafter. Abraham later married Catherine, around 1841/1842, and by her had the remaining children. Between Hetty and Catherine, Abraham kept company with Mary Smith (of the Smithton Smith's) and by her had twins Abraham and Sarah (b:4/23/1842) and later a daughter named Mary Jane (b:1857). After Mary Jane's birth Abraham Sr., moved Catherine and the kids to Fairmont, WV, where he lived until his death in 1886. Abraham Sr., served in the Union Army, and was discharged in 1864 at the rank of Private. Abraham Sr., was the son of David and Sarah Morrow. David being the eldest son of Samuel and Elizabeth Morrow (the original Samuel Morrow who immigrated from Co. Tyrone and fought in the American Revolution). Samuel died in 1810; David died in 1812; and Elizabeth in 1819; all in S. Huntingdon, Westmoreland County,PA. This is just a brief synopsis of all the information I've uncovered in the last two months. My road trip to Greensburg, PA uncovered a treasure trove of information. Thank you so much for all your help. Lady Day Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
