Author: CherylCritchfield Surnames: Bennett Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.morrow/2098/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Looking for descendents of Margaret Elizabeth (Bess) Bennett, born October 15, 1860 in Dallas County, MO & William L. Morrow, born abt 1859 in MO. They moved from MO to Texas and in 1880 are living in Parker Co. In about 1890 they lived in Grayson Co, TX and from there went to the Lexington/Purcell area of OK in about 1893. They had 3 children, two named James Alfred and Cinthia MA. The sex of the last child is unknown. One female child married a man with the last name of Mills. In 1910 & 1920 they are in Lincoln Twp, Okfuskee County, OK. I'm descended from a brother of Margaret Elizabeth, James Jacob Bennett. I believe we have a photograph of Bess and her family taken about 1893 if any descendents can be located. Also willing to share information on this Bennett line. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. PA in the mid to late 1700's? I know there are MORROW and IRWIN families there and I believe I saw a will extract for a Samuel IRWIN who had MORROW grandchildren. I would be happy to send what information I have although it appears as though my line of MORROW went South circa late 1780's while I know other MORROW lines moved West. Author: sspchestnut Surnames: Coyle Morrow McLaughlin Walsh Chestnut Scott Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.morrow/2055.3/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hello Marybeth, My name is Stephen Chestnut. We have the same great-grandparents, James and Mary Coyle. My mother always said that they came from County Tyrone and County Donegal in Ireland. My grandmother was your grandmother's sister Mary, though everyone called her Mamie. My mother, Mildred McLaughlin, was one of Mary's daughters and was your father's cousin. Your father had a sister named Julie or Julia. I always called her Aunt Jule. Her husband was Artie Walsh. I went to grade school with their children Patrick, Tom, and Julie Walsh. I believe there was an older brother too. Uncle Artie and Aunt Jule have lived at the Immaculate Mary Home on Holme Avenue for some time. Uncle Artie passed away not too long ago, but Aunt Jule still lives there today. I don't know anything about your grandfather but I'll ask my Aunt Rose (another of Mary's daughters) if she knows anything. Good to hear from you. God bless. 1. [MORROW] James Morrow & daughter Nancy, Brown Co., Ohio 1827 forward
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: littlemissshanna Surnames: Morrow, McMorrow Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.morrow/2091/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi I am looking for information on Nancy Morrow and her father James Morrow, who lived in Brown Co., Ohio, as far back as 1827. Nancy Morrow was born 1802-1805 probably in Ohio, and married Joseph Kindle/Kendall either 1824 or 1827 in Brown Co. Prior to that I have no information. I was doing a search of Brown Co., 1820 census records and did come across one James Morrow living in Brown Co. at the time whose household had 1 male 45 , 1 female 45 , 3 males 16-26, 1 female 16-26, 1 male 10-16, 1 female 10-16 and 1 male under 10. Born in 1802-1804, Nancy would have been 16-18 yrs at the time of this census. 1850 Census shows Nancy's age as 45 which would put her bdate at 1805. Joseph & Nancy had four children in Brown Co., Ohio (John W. b 1828, Eliza Jane abt 1830, James Morrow Kindle 1836, Mary Elizabeth 1840). Then the whole family packed up, including Nancy's father James, and moved to Nineveh, Johnson Co., IN. Their fifth child, Nancy A. was born in IN. Nancy's father James Morrow died in Indiana in 1847. I have a letter from my grandmother's uncle who said that somehow we are related to the politician Dwight Morrow but I don't have any documentation of that. Also that the family name was originally McMorrow of Scotch/Irish decent. If you are able to connect these people to any other line I would really appreciate hearing from you. I have hit a brick wall on this one. Thanks, shanna Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
