My Morrow ancestor was born (1818) and lived in North Alabama. He married in 1839 in Lawrence Cty, Alabama (Mary Ann Crownover). In my research I have found a George Morrow in Lawrence County in the 1820 census who could be his father but have been unable to confirm. Also, there are other Morrows in the same area in the 1820, 1840, and 1860 census. If you should find any connections to your Morrows I would love to hear from you. Author: trekker1701 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.morrow/1498.1.1.2.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Margaret's father was Robert Morrow, farmer of Ballymorran (Killinchy) County Down. I was there last year, and it hasn't changed at all for centuries. By a freak series of events,I located Thomas and Margaret's cottage, and was given an old photo of the cottage, pre-1900. In the photo is an old lady, possibly Margaret, and two of their four sons identified as Robert and Samuel Maltman. Another son, Thomas, had gone to the US to work on his uncle's (Morrow) farm. I have the location and dates somewhere in my forest of folders, and will have a look. If you can email me and send me your email address, I can send you the photo. It's a beauty.
