Sam and Ann were married 12 nov 1810 in Woodford, KY. For me this a collateral line but I have it past Preston BrownHuberson Morrow. Sam's father was James Morrow (1732 Ireland - 1797 Greenbrier Co., VA) our common ancestor. James Married Mary TIER. His father was Alexander b. 1696 near Belfast owned flax mills there. Alex father was James as well as a brother. Perhaps this is a help. Its one of the better ways to get information you can't go directly to. Hope this is a help. John Morrow b 1793 abt. marries 13 May 1820 Wayne Co KY to Patience Tuttle b 1806 in Elbert GA. Have data on Patience but nothing on John except census for 1840 and in Henry Co IA. He is not on the 1850 census. He is also almost 15 years or more older than wife. I suspect he may have married previously. I found earlier marriage for a JOHN MORROW in Wayne Co KY. There is a later John MOrrow in this area also but way different age. Susi

Morrow researchers, I have yet to find anything on Mary A. Morrow parents/brother/sisters or past. The 1850 and 1860 census says she was born in TN. I don't know how or when she came to IN, but she married Thomas Arnett on Sep. 3, 1824, in Franklin Co.,IN. This Thomas may have died, because she married Thomas Barnhart on Jun.12,1833 in Fayette Co.,IN. Mary A. Morrow was born about 1807 in TN and died about 1878 in IN. I have the marriage papers, but it shows nothing about her. She may have died about 1878 because her second husband, Thomas Barnhart, move to KS and married Mary M. Trost on Jun.19,1879 in Lincoln Co.,KS, where he later died. I was hoping that someone that has Morrows that were in TN, may be able to help. Any cousins out there? Thank you. One bright spot on this line is that I have connected with distant relatives in the Crownover line and now have that line back to the original Dutch ancestor who settled in New Amsterdam (NYC now) in 1625 and then back to Holland to the original family homestead (still owned by the same family). My Morrow line is very elusive because, from what I can find, Isaac died in "The War" and Mary Ann either during or right after. My g-grandmother was their last child, born in 1861 before Isaac went into the Confederate Army. Also, the older sons apparently went away to war and I can find no trace of them afterwards. Please share any information that you have that is not included here. Born in Warrenton, Virginia, educated at Rittenhouse Academy in Washington, D.C., Henry Andrew Morrow served as a Senate page. He opened a law practice in Detroit, and with the onset of Civil War, served with the Black Hats of the Twenty Fourth Michigan Infantry, the highly regarded "The Iron Brigade." On the first day of the battle Morrow was severely wounded carrying the colors while commanding the Black Hats of Iron Brigade on McPherson's Ridge, and he was awarded a Brevet General promotion. Following the war he resumed his status as a regular army officer, and served in the west. He was made commander at Fort Rawlins in Provo, Utah and warmly received by non-Mormons. He was twice made the commander of Camp Douglas, in Salt Lake City, from October 22, 1870 to June 30, 1871; and from October 5, 1871 to August 27, 1874. Following his tenure there the editor of the Salt Lake Tribune of July 8, 1871 described him as "a thorough soldier, a strict disciplinarian, honored ! in his profession, a brilliant conversationalist, a true and reliable gentleman." Another tribute signed by seventy two prominent officials, professional men and business men of Utah Territory was published in the same newspaper on July 27, 1871.
