They came to America in 1772 on the Lord Dunluce in company with four other ships under the stewardship of Rev William Martin (Martyn?). They left from Larne, Ire, and arrived in Charleston, SC in Dec 1772. I can only find the last name MORROW on the Lord Dunluce. As you know, this line is rather complicated and what is available appears wrought with possible errors. According to a post by Leah Kate (Morrow) Smith on Genealogy.com, Rd:Five Morrow Men, she believes that David may be the brother of Jessie, son of Daniel. Her post is confusing, however. At one point it refers to the sons of Jesse then the brothers of Jesse. In any even, David and Elizabeth were members of Rev Martin's Reformed Presbyterians, possibly from the Kellswater Church. I am stuck at this point and can't find anyting else about David or Elizabeth. Can you help? (ALSO, David was given 450 acres in SC upon his arrival but I haven't been able to find any land records in his name.)
Hello, I'm also researching the Morrow line. James Gillis Morrow, born on the ship Lord Dunluce, is my gggg grandfather. His daughter Margaret Hutchinson Morrow is my ggg grandmother. I have information on James' daughters, Priscilla, Naomi, and Margaret to exchange as well as David Morrow's son, William. By coincidence I'm also researching Reids. I am descended from Andrew Reid, b. abt. 1733, Antrim, Ireland; d. Jan 11 1819, Franklin Co., PA.
