I know there were a number of MORROW families in GA at that time and I am attempting to learn as much as I can about each family in order to PROVE/DISPROVE a connection with my MORROW line. I have participated in a MORROW male DNA-Y test but to date my information DOES NOT match with any of the other participants. ALL Morrow males are encouraged to participate in this test so that we may "some day" sort out the various MORROW families in the South since the early 1800's (and earlier). I am willing to share any and all family history research that I have. Bill Morrow in Houston, TX

Hello Bill, Sorry I can't help you with John Paul, but hope you can help me with Rick Morrow. My daughter corresponded with him (e-mail) several years ago but I can't find him now. We are a branch of the Thomas Colby Morrows who had a brother George Washington Morrow. They married sisters from the Scales family. I think they married in AR then moved to OK. Thomas married Emma Victoria. They lived in/near/around the Tulsa/Tahlequah area. I think Rick was part of the George Washington branch. He had a lot of information on these Morrows. Does any of this sound familiar to you? Thank you for your quick response. It is a possibility that this is the right Charles Morrow as he would have been the age to have served. I will file this away and may be it will help fill in the missing pieces. Jim MacKie --- Janean Ray <[email protected]> wrote: > I don't have much help. I don't have much help. I do have a Charles Morrow but with no information. He would have been born circa 1755 as that is the date of one of his brother's birth. Parents were from Caroline County and Essex Co. Va. His brother married 1779 so it would be about the right age of the one you seek however I have no further information other than his brother fought for N.C. I do know that some families split and fought for different sides. You can see what you can find just in case. Rev. David Morrow b. 1730 Caroline Co. Va. Elizabeth Catlett b. 1733 Essex Co. Va. Children were: Robert Morrow b. 1755 m. 1779 to Elizabeth Shaw they went to Warren Co. TN. Thomas Morrow Charles Morrow John Morrow Jeremiah Morrow Ellen Morrow That's all I know. Christy, Hello, I'm related to you through Charles MORROW which should be a brother to Sallie MORROW. My grandmother mentioned Sallie quite often, her name is Pauline MORROW Kassuba. She knows Pedens and told me they moved down to South Carolina. Please e-mail me at my home with more information on the family so we can tie them together. Thanks, Suzette [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected])
I am grasping at straws trying to get through that famous "brickwall". Somehow I missed the message you reference about Charles Morrow. My 4th GGF was a Charles Morrow who was in the Revolutionary War, taken prisoner at the battle of Long Island and died just when he was about to be exchanged. He is buried outside Pittsburg, PA. His wife was Mary (nfi) and had a daughter Nancy who was my 3rd GGM. Does any of this tie in with the referenced Charles Morrow? Any help is greatly appreciated.
