Hi Wes, My name is Vince King and I also descend from a few of the Buncombe Co. NC Morrows. The William Morrow (b. before 1755) who is listed on page 180 of the 1800 Census had sons John Morrow (b. ca 1775) and David Morrow (b. ca 1779). William and John migrated out of Buncombe Co. into Tennessee ca 1807-1809. David Morrow stayed in Buncombe a while longer then followed "dad" into Warren Co. TN (ca 1818). David is found on page 145 of the 1810 Buncombe Census. These three individuals all had land on and near Hooper's Creek which is a tributary of Cane Creek. It is near and just west of current day Fletcher, NC. Current day Henderson Co. All of the land deeds for these people discuss "bounding" each others property and they were selling adjacent tracts to one another. I would suggest that (as I did) obtaining copies of all the deed records for these Morrows, reading and understanding where they specifically lived in respect to one another can be a key to sorting them out. You will be amazed at what can show up being discussed in a land transaction. Many of the other Buncombe Co. Morrows are potentially kin.
