He lived, for at least the latter part of his life, in Mifflin Township in that county. His will dates from the year 1800. In it, he mentions his wife, Jean, his son William, daughters Elizabeth, Sarah and Jean, and grandsons Samuel Maxwell, Samuel Kilgore and Samuel Ackman. It has been estimated that Samuel Morrow/Murray was born around 1729. Thank you.

NC. He lived most of his life in Haywood Co. NC. He and his wife are buried at Dills Cem., Fisher Creek in Jackson Co. N.C. We think her last name was Morrow as Andrew is listed in documents with various Morrow’s. “1811-1813 Haywood Co NC Land Entries #244, p.40 William Morgan, Joseph Morrow, James Morrow, Andrew Ensley and George Myers Enters 250 acres of Land in Haywood County on both sides of Johathans Creek above Malcom Henry including a bridge on the wagon road leading from thence to Oconolufty and also including the forks of sd Creek above sd Henry. Entered Feb. 2, 1811.” Andrew was chosen as an Executor in a will by a John Morrow. This will was dated Oct 29, 1826 and mentions as best as I can read it the following persons. Wife Sarah, Alexander and Henry Morrow, (does not state relationship) and daughter Sady? Watson. Executors chosen: George Cunningham? and Andrew Ensley. Also listed, I believe as witnesses: John Withrow and Jos. ? Johnson. Does anyone know who these Morrow’s were and who their siblings, parents and children were? It has been passed down in the family that there is Cherokee blood in our Ensley line and the only possible person would be Andrew’s wife. The Morrow’s that Andrew was associated with were known to have Cherokee lineage. In 1994 my Aunt set a newer Tombstone for Andrew and his wife at Dills Cemetery. The previous “stones” were hand carved. Andrew’s was barley legible and the one for his wife was not. I would love to help my Aunt out as she has searched for the name of our missing ancestor for many years. We would love to be able to enter her name on the new Tombstone.

My Grandmother was their daughter Iona Maude Coykendall Richley. Your maiden name being Coykendall leads me to believe that you must be the Granddaughter of my father's uncle Bud (Charles Lee.) I have some information and pictures to share with you if you contact me at [email protected] I am interested in Cathy's information that she posted to this query as I am trying to trace a John C. Morrow. I believe the one she mentioned may be the father of our Sarah Jane Morrow as he comes from the right area of the country, is about the right age and has a sister named Sarah Jane. If you know how to contact Cathy please let me know as I would like more information about her Morrow's. Hope to hear from you soon! Brenda

I also recommend you visit your nearest genealogy library and research the 1880 census of Miller County Missouri for a Morrow family with a son Charles age 1. If you're new to such research, ask the librarian to help you. Good luck and good hunting. Other Morrow researchers who might be interested in DNA research, here is our website: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~amorrow/morrowdna.htm Since the Y chromosome which is passed from father to son is being tested, only male Morrows can be donors.
