    3. GDAY all:) Wondering if we can have a Roll Call of MORRISSEYS in Tipperary Ireland. Havent had much luck with my Lot from there, But maybe if those whose Morriseys are from Tipperary can Post their Lot here, Maybe some of us can Connect. Heres my Lot MICHAEL MORRISSEY born Circa 1819 in Tipperary , Parish Unknown, Came here to South Australia in 1854 on *JOHN BUNYAN* With Wife CATHERINE also from Tipperary Born circa 1819 MICHAEL MORRISSEY was my ggrandfather.. Michael Morrissey, blacksmith, Catholic from Tipperary aged 39yrs, married, wife Catherine, Catholic aged 38yrs, Honora, Catholic aged 8yrs, Ellen, Catholic aged 12yrs, Mary, domestic servant, Catholic, aged 16yrs, Margaret, domestic servant, Catholic aged 14yrs, and Bridget, domestic servant aged 18yrs, all arrived in South Australia 23/5/54. aboard the "John Bunyan" which sailed from liverpool. The passenger list shows quite clearly that a son aged four years, named Thomas, died during the voyage There was also a BRYAN and TIMOTHY MORRISSEY also From Tipperary From CASHEL who arrived here a few yrs later than MIchael...I think maybe they were either brothers or Cousins, Their Father was MICHAEL Hope maybe we can Connect with Morrissey Clan from Tipperary Regards from South Australia Cathy:) --------------------------------- Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo!     3. Hi Carly, et al, I have Morrisseys back to the late 1700s, as follows: Patrick b. c1780 in Caher, Tipp d. ???? Married Margaret Unknown Children (all born in Ballyfowloo, Tipp.) Mary Ann b. c1815 Married John Doheny 1833 and Joseph Doyle 1842 Daniel b. c1816 Married to Margaret Hynes Honorah b. 1818 Married Thomas Doheny. Migrated to the USA in 1840 Honorah and Thomas were my gggrandparents Anne Bridget b. c1820 Married William Moloughney Margaret b. c1822 Not married? I have much info on the descendants of all of the above, down to the present day. ExcEpt for my direct line all the rest stayed in Tipp, and there is no record of anyone going to Australia.
