Author: jamestgrogan1 Surnames: Morrisey Grogan Guinan Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.morrissey/277.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi M.J.! Some of my older family members say that there is a link between the noble Johnny and my Great Grandmother Catherine Ann Morrissey (b1888 d1977). She married my Great Grandfather Thomas Grogan, a tailor from Cloghan, Co. Offaly. Her father was Charles Morrissey from Tipperary (b1850 d 1927) and she had a brother John (b1891) and sister Emily Ann (b1896). Charles married Catherine Guinan from Co. Offaly died young as she wasn't recorded in the 1901 census as Charles was marked as a widower. He was also recorded as a "Bricky" and "Labourer". The older family members are suggesting that the noble Johnny may be an uncle of Charles, which would imply that Timothy (noble Johnny's dad left a brother in Tipperary. Do you know much of noble Johnny's parents Timothy and Mary and Timothy's ciblings that could connect this suggestion on a more concrete basis? Any tips on routes to go? I'm living in Ireland. She was told that her parents were in a car accident, she was thrown from the car and found laying in a ditch, he parents died. I have been looking for a few years. But I finally decided to look for a Morrissey board on Rootsweb. Looked for a Thomas and got about 500 hits, ok I thought something unique. How about a "Glavin" in the Morrissey board.
