i remember that our mother parlee, little , maples made all of our clothes when we were kids even our bro,s. she took what ever cloth she could find usually feed or flour sacks made use dresses and then took them to make quilts out of when we out grew them. she used paper bags(pokes we called them back then) to make paterns out of. i think still have some of the quilt paterns she made. i also have a quilt top that grand ma cora leroux little gave us every one sewed back then cause no one had the money to buy ready made unalee
