Mary Ellen Lindsay was the daughter of William Carroll and Eliza Deweese Porter. Mary Ellen and John Lindsay were living in Varner when they were married c 1900-02.John Lindsay was the son of William and Alice Taylor Lindsay. All of these people lived in Ripley Co. late 1890's and early 1900's.
