Hi.....Is anyone researching the Short family of Ripley Co., MO.? I'm looking for parents for 3 siblings that were in Shannon Co., MO. in the 1850 Census - William SHORT b. abt. 1832 MO. Moses SHORT b. 1833 MO. Mary Jane SHORT b. abt. 1835 MO. Their father was born in NC., mother born KY., according to the information given on the 1880 census. In the 1850 Ripley Co., MO. census is siblings Joel F. SHORT b. abt. 1832 MO. & Demerris SHORT b. abt. 1835 MO. Elizabeth SHORT b. abt. 1833 MO., is also in the household. I don't know if she was another sibling, or the spouse of Joel F. SHORT. I'm wondering if there is a connection between the Ripley & Shannon Co., MO. SHORT listed in the 1850 census.
