With new folks on the list, let me clarify this. The only rules we have for a roll call on this list are........ 1. I have to call it. If you all feel a need to have a roll call, email me privately and ask. If my time will allow it I'll anounce it. Roll calls keep me hoping for about a week. 2. Subject must not say just Roll Call. Subject line should say Roll Call followed by the surnames you are researching. Details in the body of the email. 3. Be polite and trim your emails of all but a few lines. If you just hit reply, the folks on the digest get the same messages repeated over and over and over and over. Since the subject came up, I've been thinking about calling one for any newbies on the list. So lets go ahead and have one. Jackie, I agree. I hate roll calls. They clog up my e-mail and I very seldom see a new contact. And they ARE usually started by someone not authorized to start it.
