Thank you to all who emailed back with suggestions.. I will go with Saxen Urope, as it looks like the place is spelled on the census. Trying to stay true to the actual writing... even when I know what the spelling should be. (putting notation on ones I have proof are wrong or am unsure of). I am about half way done (proofing while inputting). I lost about half of the volunteer work, as I had a computer crash, and thought by submitting the partial I was backed up already.. so hadn't saved a backup... bummer... but getting it done. For anyone who is serious about doing research, and knows they will be doing a lot of census research... volunteering to index the census for the genweb project is a great way to view different styles of handwriting...
