As far as I can tell, and I'll try to keep it short, Ill start with my mother. Delores June Swanner, daughter of Willie Columbas Swanner (born near Turley OK.), , son of Robert Swanner (Ripley Co. MO to the Tulsa OK area) and Emma Delaware Houston, son of James M. Swanner b. abt 1850-1856, son of Enoch Gray Swanner, son of James Swanner, son of Jesse Swanner Sr.. son of John Marion Swanner, son of Mathias Tobias Swanner........... My problem comes with Robert (Bert). He and my GGrandmother must have separated, either before or shortly after my Grandfathers birth. I think that there was a Willie in Robert's family, so I think he was around long enough for him to have a hand in naming him. There was also a brother/uncle by the name of Tallie Swanner, we found the Obit in some papers after my Grandfathers death. We were told that Robert (Bert) committed suicide at the "HOLLYWOOD" sign in California around 1940-1943, I haven't been able to find an obit since I dot have the exact date. I would say he was in his early 50's. I did find a record for WWl civilian draft registration, a Bert Swanner, b. October 29, 1885, White, relative lives in Tulsa OK (is what is listed as place of birth). Enlisted in Brown Co. SD. He is not listed on the SSI Death lists.If this sounds familiar (even remotely) to anyone, Please let me hear from you. Thankyou for your time.
