Betty, I would like to know if the George Lee you mentioned had a wife named Minerva and if so, was she a Freeman? My gr-grandfather's brother, Jacob Freeman, was in the George Lee household during the 1850 Census. Apparently, George and Minerva Lee and Jacob Freeman all died during the 1850s.
