Hi Doreen, Apparently, the George Lee you are asking about is the son of my ancestor by his wife who is not my line. My line is the wife (Elizabeth Holland) that he married after the death of his first wife in 1842. The following is from an article by Jerry Ponder, formerly of Ripley Co.: "George Lee, Jr., born in 1822 in Virginia, married a lady named Minerva, whose last name is not known. They had 4 children: George R. E., James C., S. Druza, and Elizabeth. George, Jr., died in 1852. Minerva died only a few years after and their children were taken by C.N. Kidd and raised. There was no record of any of them after 1860 except for George R. E. Lee who married Mrs. Ann Payne in May, 1869, and lived briefly in Butler County. " I do not know his sources. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Hope someone else picks up on this and is able to help you.
