    3. Marie, As you can see, I am about 24 hours behind in reading my mail...lol. I do not have anything on the Kitterman story myself. My grandmother lived in the area at the time and we went to Fairview Church (off of 21 highway) then. Sometime after this happened we had a youth group outing where we went door to door to invite young people to church. It was after dark and one of the boys thought it his "duty" to remind the girls that we were in the area where "the hideout" was found. I am not sure that we were, but it done the job in scaring the girls. I know it sounds mean now but then we ranged in the 12 - 16 year range. The boys really got in trouble for number one : disrespecting a tragic situation and number two : scaring the girls. Today, I happen to live in basically the same area and one of the surviving girls (Kathy, I believe) works at the Ellsinore branch of the Grandin Bank. I talk to her about every week, if only to say hi some of those weeks.
