It seems like there used to be a searchable database on the Bureau of Land MAnagement, general land office, site....but apparently that is not up right now. Did you already look there? 1820 was before MO was a state (boy, I hope I'm right on that!!!), so I wonder if you'll have to dig into territorial records? Good luck!
