I was actually thinking about calling the Sheriff's department tomorrow. You never know till you ask. I just wish I could see the look on the persons face on the other end of the phone when I ask her if they have any pcitures of past Sheriff's of Ripley County from the 1890's. :-) LOL Speaking of which... The person who was elected Sheriff after John F. was a Merrell and he's also kin to me. I can't remember his name off the top of my head and I don't have my notes handy right now as I'm useing someone elses PC to send this message.
