Hello Ray Co List, I am researching Bartlett Sisk and his brother Elder Allen Sisk, (who preached at Old New Garden) I descend from Bartlett, son of Lawson & Sarah (Clevenger) Sisk, Cocke Co. TN. Bartlett and Allen ran the Saw Mill, Grist Mill and Still together, but then Bart bought out Allen. Bartlett was also the Post Master of Siskville. I take it Siskville was very close to Old New Garden Church, the first building or the current one. I think these two buildings were pretty close to one another anyway. I do not know the dates without going thru my notes. Bartlett fought in the Civil War and lost his right arm down from the elbow. He was married three times 1. Elizabeth Morell 2. Sarah Elizabeth Hightower 3. Arrena Grace. What I am looking for is a photo of the Saw Mill, Grist Mill, Still, the Post Office and a store all located close together, I believe. I have not started looking as of yet. I thought I would try this list first. I would think there would be a photo somewhere of this little community.
