Just as I suspected: the North portion of Marion was taken by Caldwell in 1836 and the Southern remaider in Ray Co taken by Knoxville in 1841. More importantly, you established their precise location by finding the information on the land sale by Ichabod Hall !! Also, the sale date helps confirm their departure date from Ray to Andrew Co where they were in May 1848, and later in the 1850 census !! How did you happen to run across this land sale to the Clevengers?? The Halls supposedly purchased land in Ray in 1837, but I do not have confirmation of that yet. I suspect that this is the same land that they sold in 1848. You have been a tremendous help. Thank you again. Ray
