Searching for information on the Allen family who are in the 1830 census in Ray County. One who I am particularly interested in is Joseph Allen who married Matilda English in Ray County on July 10, 1833. I believe Joseph was a brother to my GGGrandfather, James Madison Allen. They were both born in TN, Joseph in 1809 and JMA in 1813. I don't know who there parents were. Are there any books or publications that might assist me in my search?
