Hello Ray County Researchers, Does anyone recognize the family below? John Taylor married Louisa McDonald, Dec. 1835 in Ray county, Missouri. I believe John was married before he married Louisa. Some of my family thinks there is a connection with some Taylors from Virginia, maybe the Richmond, VA area. I've seen posts in other places of three brothers from Pittsylvania county, VA moving to Ray co. Mo. before 1835 and one of them was named John (if this rings a bell with anyone, did something happen to John's wife prior to 1835?) John and Louisa's children were: William Taylor, b. abt 1843, Ray county, MO Cynthia Addie Taylor, b. abt 1842, Ray county, MO Benjamin Franklin Taylor, b. 10/14/1839, Ray county, MO Lucinda Catherine Taylor, b. 06/04/1841, Ray county, MO Joseph C. Taylor, b. 1848 Nancy Catherine Taylor, b. 04/04/1853 Henry S. Taylor, b. 1857 James J. Taylor, b. 1840 Has anyone seen any information on this family in Ray County?
