Thank you for your reply! My JMA is not the one who was married to Sarah Frakes. He was married twice, First to Phoebe English and then to Lucy Ann Gore. I have run across the JMA/Sarah Frakes names before and have always felt that they were connected to my JMA family. (By the way, my James Madison Allen was my gggrandfather. As far as I know Joseph was his brother but that has not yet been confirmed). It seems that your JMA was a son of Reuben Allen. Is that correct? If so, both your family and mine went from TN to Ray County and then to the Springfield area in SW Missouri. That is why I think there may be a connection? Appreciate your thoughts on this and thanks again for your reply! Jim Allen
I am not sure about all of my Allen family but my George W Allen who died in Springfield actually died during the civil war. The rest of them stayed in the Ray/Clay county area. The James Madison Allen that I have in my files was a brother to my George W Allen. My Allen's came from the Newport area in Cocke County, Tennessee. -----Original Message----- From: Jim Allen [mailto:jeallen@bendcable.com] Sent: Saturday, November 20, 2004 10:55 AM To: MORAY-CGA-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [MORAY-CGA] Allen family in Ray County Thank you for your reply!
