Since you also provided his middle name, I was wondering if you were a descendant or relative of James McHatton. My grandparents John Maxwell and Martha (Mattie) McFadden were married in 1878 by Rev. McHatton in Wellington, MO. Do you know if there was a Christian Church in Wellington at that time? Possible they were married at someone's home, too.
