Pat Kennedy here: The Greenlees of Ray Co, MO.......are not my family line. But in doing some research on my gr-dau's SAMS line of Marion Co, MO. The strong nameing pattern in the Sams line is.....Green Lee Sams ----Greenlee Sams etc...etc. back to a Capt. Edmund Sams Sr.....NC and VA. So I'm wondering why the name of Greenlee is so strong. Have you ever researched the surname of Greenlee? Maybe the Greenlee's md into the Sams and the Martin's!!!! Just a thought and a spot to lead you....
