Hello List. I need to know if there is a divorce for Ellen FIELDS from John C. FIELDS. It would be between 1881 and 1885. My great grandmother Priscilla Ellen Bales married John C. Fields in 1872. Her youngest son was born in 1881. The 1900 Richmond, Ray, MO census does not have her listed with the family and there appears to be a mark in the -divorced- column for John. In the Ray County Marriage book I found a license being granted for an Ellen Fields to J.T. Mathena, 23 Jan 1886. I am wondering if she is the same Ellen and married again. Is there anyone on the list who is descended from any MATHENA who could help me with this question? Donna
