I thought I gave you this info, but maybe not. Constant Haslin Perkins is really Constantine Haslin Perkins. The 1850 Cedar County Census shows the name "Constant" which apparently was shortened for reasons of space on the form. His wife was not Porthena but Parthena Edens Ball. Also in the household was Parthena's younger brother & sister, Joseph E. Ball (my ggrandfather) and Malinda Ball. They were all back in Ray county by 1860. I say "back" because the Ball family came to Ray county about 1825 from Athens, Limestone county, AL. Contact me by private email again. I have more, including C. H.
