    1. [MORAY-CGA] Let's not forget to record our history
    2. We had a wonderful genealogy meeting today. For those who live close, we are sorry that you missed it. Each of us talked about what we remembered about WWII and several people brought items to share. There were two of us there that had not been born yet during the war and we learned so much about that time in history. It would be a good idea to write down what you remember life was like during that war and other great major events in America during your lifetime. With the age of computers it would be so easy because if you forgot something you could always go back and add it in. I know it's hard to say that the Persian Golf War is now history but we lived through it and in the future our descendants may want to know where were we when we heard about it, what we thought about it, did we stay glued to the TV, etc. And if they don't ask wouldn't it be a wonderful find for them that we had recorded such a short conflict in our lives. And let's remember to record what the effect of Sept 11, 2001 had on our lives. OK, so I was in Kindergarden when Pres. Kennedy was shot but I still remember where I was and what the teacher did. There is also the Vietnam War First Man to Walk on the Moon Rock and Roll Music Color TV FM Radio Pres. Nixon Impeachment Someone mentioned today about Roosevelt dying in office and they wondered if Truman would make a good President. What did you think of each Pres during your lifetime. What type of music do your prefer? Remember having to stay in one spot to talk on the phone? Remember having to go to the movie theater to watch movies? Cable TV What was your favorite TV show during the 50's, 60's etc. When did you get your first computer? The list could go on. And don't forget to record what your parents or other relatives and even friends might have told you. My mother worked for the FBI in the early 1950's and the White House was gutted at that time so she never was able to tour the White House while she lived in Washington DC. We went in the 60's and even though I was very young I do remember some of that tour. Open up that word processor, flex your fingers and start typing.
