In my old PINCKARD family Bible, I have the following entries: "Patrick McLene PINCKARD, Jr., Son of P.M. & Lucy J. PINCKARD was born on the 12 of July, 1853. Patrick McLene Pinckard, Jr. was baptised by Bishop James OSGOOD ANDERSON at his Grandfather LYELL's on the 4th of October 1853. P.M. PINCKARD was married to Mary W. YOUNG Dec. 22nd, 1886. Millville, Mo." His father, Reverand Patrick M.Pinckard, Sr. died "September 23rd,1871 in the city of Nevada of Typhoid fever and is buried in Bellefontaine Cemetery, St. Louis. He was fully conscious and was prepared to go." Another Ray County marriage is entered, that of his brother, "John William PINCKARD was married to Mary RAINWATER of Ray Co Mo, March the _th 1870." The Bible contains many entries for this family, other than the two brothers' information, as there were five children, including my GGM. I will be happy to share the information with anyone who is interested. I am also interested what connection the Pinckards had to Ray County, as most of their lives seem to have been spent in Northeastern counties of Missouri. Also, the interview writer referred to P.Mack Pinckard as having been her professor. I would enjoy learning more about the family. Carla Hunter Southwick
