In the 1881 Ray County History Book it has a bio on a John Switzer it says he was a native of Lincoln Co Ohio. He was born 9 Nov 1806, His parents were Jacob and Sophia. John was married on the 14 of Feb to Miss Elizabeth Alexander born in Belmont Co Ohio on the 16 Jan 1809. Her parents were Peter and Jane Alexander. John and Elizabeth Switzer had 10 kids, Samuel C b 12 Mar 1830 Matthew A b 14 Aug 1831, Andrew J 22 Aug 1833 Peter A 10 Dec 1835 Mary J b 27 mar 1838 Jacob J b 8 Oct 1840 John F b 17 Dec 1844 James R. b 2 June 1846 George A. b 2 Mar 1848 Marion B b 7 July 1850. The five Eldest were born in Ohio, the others in Ray Co Mo. this info is on page 700 Hope this helps
