Dear Ida Mae, Thanks for your note; this is my Sneed line in Missouri: John Thomas Sneed, Jr.//Mecca Isabel Graham>> Silas Sneed//Mary Jane Harlow>> Florence Isobel Sneed//Jasper Newton Crain, Jr.>> Faires Ely Crain//Emeline Barker>> Paul William Crain//Reta Pearl Wymore>> Paula Margaret Crain (me) My Harlow line is Missouri is: Augustine Henry Harlow//Susannah Oster Hayes>> Mary Jane Harlow//Silas Sneed Silas Sneed is buried in Livingston County, Mo; after his death Mary Jane remarried to Isaac Cooper; she is buried in Tinney Grove, Ray County, Mo., where she spent most of her life. Both Augustine Henry Harlow and Susannah Oster Hayes are also buried in the Tinney Grove Cemetery. Jasper Newton Crain, Jr., was the bastard son of Jasper/Jesse Crain/Crane of Buncombe County, North Carolina; his mother was Martha Anne Handby/Hanby/Hamby, who settled with Jasper and his brother Asa and sister Mary in Tinney Grove in the early 1860s. Martha's second husband was James Asa "Ace" Runion/Runnion/Runyon, who fought with the Confederate Missouri 2nd Infantry and was killed during the Civil War. She then married Elijah Truitt; they had several children together, and lived the rest of their lives near Tinney Grove, Ray County. I have not been able to find out where my great-great-grandmother, Martha Hamby Crain Runion Truitt is buried. It would mean a lot to me to identify her resting place. Jasper Newton Crain Jr. went to Vinita, Craig County, OK with his wife Florence Isobel Sneed (all of their children were born in Ray County, Mo.) about 1910. They both died there and are buried in the Ketchum Cemetery, Vinita Craig County, OK. My paternal grandfather was their eldest son, Faires Ely Crain.
