Surnames: Rider, Hensley, McCoy Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XNB.2ACI/457 Message Board Post: My Rider line came to the Richmond/Sunshine communities around 1890-1900. I am, of course, interested in any Riders from this area, but am specifically interested in Willam E. and Mary McCoy Rider. William died on Feb. 28, 1881. It is not known when Mary died. She was born in 1831 in Jackson Co. William was born on May 29, 1825 in Sumner Co., TN and had lived in Cass, Jackson, Lafayette, and Ray Co.'s. His first wife was Missouri Hensley born 1827 and died on May 3, 1872 in Jackson Co. William and Missouri were married on Oct. 28, 1847. William and Mary were married on Nov. 2, 1873.

    3. My MOYER line married a RIDER. Josephine Moyer, daughter of Benjamin MOYER and Olive HULL married Daivd Rider. MOYER's settled in Ray County after Civil War. I have more including some census records with Rider and a map showing some land ownings.
