    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: greenlee tarwater Creason Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XNB.2ACI/487.1.1.1.3.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi Julie I have been researching Lewis Tarwater, on the family search it shows that he was born 1770-1780 in Franklin Co Tenn and died 1 Aug 1831 Ray Missouri. married to Nancy born 1799 Tenn and she died 5 Jul 1833 Orrick Ray Missouri and buried Riffe Cem Ray Missouri. shows all their children. they have 11 children shows their daughter Elizabeth Tarwater born abt 1802 in Franklin Tenn and died before 1 May 1831 Ray Mo.so she would be the wife of William Greenlee from Union Co Ark in 1850 census and probably Mother of my Willis L Greenlee, he shows that he is born 1818 Tenn in the 1850 Ray County Missouri census. and shows his age even older in his Confederate papers. William Greenlee.did not have a wife in the 1850 Union Co Ark census. it was only him and his son William P Greenlee in that census.looks like they had a son Lemuel Greenlee also. he was living in Union Co Ark in 1850, i think that was the year i found him.had a son James in Independence ARk in the 1850 census also. i have not located any Greenlees in Ray Co Missouri prior to Willis L in the 1850 Ray co Missouri Census.Maybe they did not live there during census time. They could have died in Tenn and buried in Ray Co. Missouri.also If Elizabeth Tarwater Greenlees father was ill before he died. maybe from her death.since they died so close together.Noticed that his wife Nancy also died in 1833 from the deaths probably. i would think that the will just didnt get changed.within those few months.so his daughter was still listed in the will.dont think there would be any need to take her off anyways. im glad they didnt omit her.it really helps to have that information. it also shows the parents of Lewis Tarwater as Jacob Tarwater and Modelena Wolford Jacob born 1740 Gemany and died 1798 Knox tenn buried knox tenn Modelena born 1740 Holland and married 1765 Knox Tenn Frances Greenlee
