I don't know, but my great great grandmother, on my mother's side, was a Clevenger. Her name was Sarah Clevenger She married William Hunt. They had a daughter, Palina who married John Stone Joiner on August 30, 1876 in Ray County. They had 2 daughters, Minnie Florence (my grandmother) and Sarah Elizabeth. Minnie Florence Joiner married William Clyde Ogg and Sarah Elizabeth Joiner married Albert Green. The only other Clevenger I am aware of with a connection to my family is a Grover Clevenger. My aunt, Lou Emma Ogg Keel Jones, daughter of Wm Clyde and Minnie Florence Ogg was a school teacher in a little country school in Vibbard. She lived in the home of Grover Clevenger and his wife. My mom does not remember there being any other connection with those Clevengers and our family. My info is probably not very helpful, but thought I'd pass it on, just in case. I believe they were around the Knoxville area. Their children Delilah Jane ALBRIGHT and Joseph (Joel) H. GREEN married and were my great-grandparents. I have quite a bit of information, such as names and birth and death dates. Am interested in historical information on any of these people. Caryn

Thanks to all of you who have helped me in the past and all of you that wrote to me thanking me for my posting on North Kansas City.
Thanks to Vivian - reminding me of how lucky I was to have lived in North Kansas City for a while in my childhood. I had a great time there. I remember taking swimming lessons at the "Y", playing kickball in the street in front of my home, (we had plenty of kids in our neighborhood...). We kids would sell lemonade & with the profits, head for a small neighborhood grocery store to buy hot dogs, buns, & marshmallows to cook over a small fire... I doubt parents would allow that nowadays... making "mail boxes" at school, to hold our Valentine cards. - Going to the opening of the Katz Super Drugstore & being given a ballpoint pen! I was thrilled, because inkpens were still very much in use then & my fingers always seemed to be stained. We moved away when I was ten - to the "suburbs" with a lot fewer children... it was lonely there. It is such a surprise to learn that the ASB bridge has a new name & that North Kansas City only covers 4 square miles - it was my favorite universe! Janet Beattie - and the above is part of MY genealogy!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH. HOWEVER, i REALIZE LISA HAS TO TAKE A STEP SO THINGS LIKE THIS DON'T START RUNING THE PURPOSE. I FINALLY HAD TO BLOCK THE NAME OF THE PERSON THAT KEPT COMPLAINING ESPECIALLY AFTER SHE TOLD ME SHE WOULD BE HESITANT TO HELP ANYONE IN THE FUTURE. SHE REALLY DIDN'T OFFER ANYTHING THAT HELPED ME. IF YOU HAVE LIVER "NORTH" OF THE RIVER I KNOW YOU CAN BELIEVE. HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN IN NORTHTOWN? IF IT HAS BEEN AWHILE YOU REALLY WOULD NOT RECOGNIZE IT. VIVIAN
Gee Whiz, you make me feel homesick for the good "northland area" We moved to the Lake of the Ozarks, and I wish everyday that I could be back in KCN. North Kansas City, Mo. is an example of what you can do, if you want to do it. Hang In There. ----- Original Message ----- From: <KayceKay@aol.com> To: <MORAY-CGA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: 18 February, 2005 10:44 AM Subject: [MORAY-CGA] North Kansas City > I received an email this morning informing me about the difference between > North Kansas City and Kansas City North and just how knowledgeable they were. > They totally took my email out of context > as I was not condemning anyone's knowledge.
