Dear Ida Mae, Thanks for your note; this is my Sneed line in Missouri: John Thomas Sneed, Jr.//Mecca Isabel Graham>> Silas Sneed//Mary Jane Harlow>> Florence Isobel Sneed//Jasper Newton Crain, Jr.>> Faires Ely Crain//Emeline Barker>> Paul William Crain//Reta Pearl Wymore>> Paula Margaret Crain (me) My Harlow line is Missouri is: Augustine Henry Harlow//Susannah Oster Hayes>> Mary Jane Harlow//Silas Sneed Silas Sneed is buried in Livingston County, Mo; after his death Mary Jane remarried to Isaac Cooper; she is buried in Tinney Grove, Ray County, Mo., where she spent most of her life. Both Augustine Henry Harlow and Susannah Oster Hayes are also buried in the Tinney Grove Cemetery. Jasper Newton Crain, Jr., was the bastard son of Jasper/Jesse Crain/Crane of Buncombe County, North Carolina; his mother was Martha Anne Handby/Hanby/Hamby, who settled with Jasper and his brother Asa and sister Mary in Tinney Grove in the early 1860s. Martha's second husband was James Asa "Ace" Runion/Runnion/Runyon, who fought with the Confederate Missouri 2nd Infantry and was killed during the Civil War. She then married Elijah Truitt; they had several children together, and lived the rest of their lives near Tinney Grove, Ray County. I have not been able to find out where my great-great-grandmother, Martha Hamby Crain Runion Truitt is buried. It would mean a lot to me to identify her resting place. Jasper Newton Crain Jr. went to Vinita, Craig County, OK with his wife Florence Isobel Sneed (all of their children were born in Ray County, Mo.) about 1910. They both died there and are buried in the Ketchum Cemetery, Vinita Craig County, OK. My paternal grandfather was their eldest son, Faires Ely Crain. RAYMOND SPENCER. Looking for information about Raymond Spencer who was in the Army stationed in England in May of 1944 near or at Cheddas. He went to France June 6th with the D Day landings. He returned to Somerset, England in June of 1945 before he returned to the US. Looking for Mr. Raymond, his family or Orbit. Can any one help?Believe he lived at Holt, Mo or Holt county not sure which before the war. His daughter is looking for him. His family may not know of her existence but she would like to know what he was like and what happened to him. She only met him once when she was young. She waited until her mother died... I am afraid might be too late, to find him? I am involved because she wrote to my uncle because we have a Raymond Spencer in our family but he was not in the service. There is a possibility too that I might have the wrong service.. but I do have a picture of him so if any one is interested or thinks they can find this family I will send it to you. If any one knows how to look up local orbit would be very appreciative. He would be about 80 now. I called all the Spencers I could by phone but not leads. I have been working on this for two years.. no one seems to know what happened to this man after the war. Pat Murrell Mata pjmata@cox.net

William Greenlee.did not have a wife in the 1850 Union Co Ark census. it was only him and his son William P Greenlee in that census.looks like they had a son Lemuel Greenlee also. he was living in Union Co Ark in 1850, i think that was the year i found him.had a son James in Independence ARk in the 1850 census also. i have not located any Greenlees in Ray Co Missouri prior to Willis L in the 1850 Ray co Missouri Census.Maybe they did not live there during census time. They could have died in Tenn and buried in Ray Co. Missouri.also If Elizabeth Tarwater Greenlees father was ill before he died. maybe from her death.since they died so close together.Noticed that his wife Nancy also died in 1833 from the deaths probably. i would think that the will just didnt get changed.within those few months.so his daughter was still listed in the will.dont think there would be any need to take her off anyways. im glad they didnt omit her.it really helps to have that information. it also shows the parents of Lewis Tarwater as Jacob Tarwater and Modelena Wolford Jacob born 1740 Gemany and died 1798 Knox tenn buried knox tenn Modelena born 1740 Holland and married 1765 Knox Tenn Frances Greenlee
