The ancestors you mention appear no where in my family tree. The "Bales" middle name of my ancestor remains something of an enigma. Oddly, Harvey Bales WILLIAMS' father, Lilburn Johnson WILLIAMS has a middle name that also evokes question. Seems they both should have some relationship to those surnames--but they don't seem to. Good luck with your research.

It was after 1800 when they later came to Ray Co. There is more info it all comes from a manuscrpt called Frank Tull Manuscript. another entry: she was jane Jackons before her marriage to Francis Graham in 1788 the oldest son of John Graham who also lived in Carroll co. Can anyone explain the enumeration for Ray County on the 1850 census? It doesn't show townships instead it lists district numbers. I was trying to find some families on the Mackley Census image link, but since it is not indexed, it would be more efficient to look at just the right township. What district # matches Richmond township & Fishing River township? Does anyone know?
I am trying to know how to find a Lusk, who was married to Margaret Hill in the 1950's-1960's. that is all I have now. Lena
