While Samuel lived in Montana he adopted a son from a family with the surname of NORWOOD, we are told. This boy was thus named Samuel Earl Kelly, Jr. They moved to Wyoming in the late teens or early 1920's. There are several mysteries surrounding this and we would appreciate any help anyone has to offer. PS: We do know that Samuel, Sr was married at least twice, and that there was at least one other child born to these NORWOODS, a daughter. The birth record for young Samuel was revised in 1978, but we are sure if it was the form or the information that was revised. Thanks, Diane

Hello everyone, If you are researching the HOCKENSMITH surname or any variations, a new list has been created by Rootsweb which I will be administering. Our Hockensmiths were in Jackson and Ray Cos. after leaving Kentucky and thought some of you might also be looking for the name. The list will be for any variation and any location, however. The usual joining protocol: Send a message to: [email protected] to join. Digest is also available. If you have any questions, please contact me. Thanks. Judy Arnold
Joan, I am very interested in the "Frank Tull Manuscript" that you refer to. My gggrandfather was Thomas Barton Tull md to Martha Jane Barger. My ggrandfather and his brother, Joseph Henry Tull and Tubman Allen Tull were born in the area, they were married in Ray County. I certainly would appreciate any Tull information that you might have. Thanks.
