If you send me a fax number I will fax you copies of the Cemetaries in Ray County. You could also get one at the Richmond Historical Society in Richmond Mo. I strongly advise you to go there. There is a wonderful caretaker who lives on the grounds and he can tell you where everything is. There are copies of many of the cemetaries and who is burried there inside the Library there. Additional information not in the History of Ray County may be available at the Ray County Genealogical Library which is located at 901 West Royle St. in Richmond. Maps are also available to review at the Library. The Library is open Wednesday through Saturday from noon until 4 pm. You may call the Library at (816) 776-2305 during business hours. You requested information about how to find the following cemeteries: 1. Union. Union is located on county route C north of Rayville close to the junction of C with county road M. 2. Riffe. Riffe is located on Route O north of Orrick. 3. Old New Garden. Old New Garden is located on Route O further north of Riffe, near the junction with State highway 10. 4. Union Baptist. This cemetery is located northwest of Orrick between Mo Route 210 and County Route O. 5. Clev/Bogart. Bogart Creek is in Fishing River Township along Fishing River north and west of Orrick. The cemetery is not listed in the History. 6. South Point. South Point is located just off State Route 210 east of Orrick where the bluffs begin. 7. Enon or Elon. This cemetery is not listed in the History. They had (3) children: Dora A. Ray (Ehlers)(b. 1885) Emmitt Ray (b.abt.1886-87) and Irene Elizabeth Ray (Fee)(b.1888). John Ray past away abt. 1890 cause unknown. John's Wife Signora (Jones) Ray left Tenn to stay with unknown family in Mo. Some time later, Signora (Jones) Ray was unable to take care of her children and put them in a St.Louis orphanage on Aubert Ave. St.louis,Mo. Signora (Jones) Ray probably remarried and had step children, one thought to be named (Jopoline Bell). My grand mother, Irene Elizabeth (Ray) Fee left the orphanage and placed with Mrs. Lucy Davis of Callaway County, Mo. on a 1000 Acre farm and worked for the Davis's till she turned age (21) and married Charles Mclelland Fee, there children are: Lowell Fee, Lucy Francis(Herndon) Fee, Dorothy (Drowns) Fee, Anna Mae (Finazzo) Fee, (Billy) William James Fee and Emily Grace (Griffin) Fee. Haynes is a prominent farmer of Richmond township and now (April 1881) hols the office of public administrator of Ray Co. He was born 20 Aug 1816 in Murry Co. Tenn. His parents were natives of North Carolina. When he was yet quite young, his father moved from Murray to Bedford Co. Tenn, but remaining there only for a time, immagrated to Ray Co. Mo. settling in the township in which our subject has ever since lived. Mr Haynes education was finished in the school of Ray Co. Farming has been his cheif occupation. His father died in 1862 at the age of 75, his mother lived until 1880, when she died at the age of 89 years. Mr Haynes ia of a quiet peaceful disposition and has never taken any part int he war-like movements, except for a shrot time against the Mormons, in this county. He was married 1 Nov 1841 to Miss Jane Schooler, a native of Tenn. They were married in Ray co. They had 6 children, Joseph H, George R. James H. Rosabelle J, Mary E, M, and John A. Mr Hay! nes was elected justice of the peace in 1854 and hedl that office for eleven years. He is a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. (This is another of the earliest marked graves.) Betsey, daughter of Rueben and Ann Riggs, died September 10, 1851, 19 years, 6 months, 14 days.
