Hessenfllow was born 2 February, 1857, and died 4 March, 1923. Sarah L. Hessenflow was born in 1856 and died in 1934. The couple are buried in the Sunny Slope Cemetery, near Richmond. How does a person go about obtaining obituaries for the couple? Does anyone know who Sarah may have been before her marriage and how many children the couple have had? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Dennis

This summer, I went to Woodford Co Ky to connect Margaret Smith(er) who was the mother of Granville, Silas, Eliza and Mary Jane. Billy Smithey had found gaurdianship papers for these children of Margaret. In another paper the name is spelled "Smithey" and there is a marriage record for William Smithey and Margaret Eaton dau. of Joseph. I dont have a relationship between Joseph and Jehu yet. My papers are under a pile of "stuff" right now. I will find them and try to transcribe it for all of you. It seems there were "Smithers" and "Smitheys" there at the same time. The officials used the name interchangeably. Barb

Thank you to all who answered my query about the church and cemetary near Braymer and Tinney's Grove MO. I was looking for the grave of Nancy J Moore (wife of Tilford Moore). Many of those on this list (and the Carroll and Caldwell lists) wrote to offer suggestions for places to look. So I thought I would send in my success story.. A REALLY big thanks to Fred Wood of CemPhoto WorkShops (www.cemphoto.com/) who actually went out to the Tinney's Grove Cemetary and located the stone (it had not been on prior published lists--probably because it was half buried and broken) and sent me pictures. It was really great to correspond with Fred --I located him through the 1860 census that gave me his gggrandparents name (Teavault) and and some family records that indicated his gggrandparents were neighbors and friends of Tilford and Nancy Jane Moore. In corresponding with Fred I also discovered that his gggrandparents had named a son for Tilford Moore---something that didn't show up in later census records because deaths in the family led to children being placed in other homes. So, I urge you all to hang in there and explore every lead... Thanks again for your help--- Jackie Jardine-Moore

I am interested in Jehu Eaton. I believe his second wife was Judith Bond, a member of the family I am tracing. All I have is the marriage record for Granville and Susan and Jehue and Susan Mosby, both from Woodford County, Kentucky Would you happen to know anything about Jehue? Is he buried in the cemetery with Susan and Granville? I have also been told that the cemetery index for Craven Cemetery does not list Susan, Granville or Jehue as being buried there. Sorry I can not be of any help. Jean

I don't know if I am related or not. It's possible/probable. I haven't done a lot of research on the collateral lines yet. I am descended from Aaron and Viola (Clark) Yoakum. His father, William, was the nephew of the Jesse Yoakum that owned the property where the Yoakum Cemetery is located.
